    Vintage Volupte Rectangular Metal Compact probably mid-century, maybe 1950's?

    Volupte compact measures 5.25 inches by 3 inches by 5/8 inches and still has remains of some make-up in it. The mirror is made of metal and the backside of it looks better. I am not sure but I think tissues or cigarettes can be stored behind the mirror. On the other half of the compact is an open area for maybe more cigarettes or a make-up sponge? There are 2 covers, the bigger one is over an area to hold make-up and the smaller cover is over a divided area that might have contained lipstick and rouge? I am just guessing.
    I am not sure what kind of metal. It is tarnished unevenly. There is a fancy monogram on the front, one single letter I think, but I am not sure which letter. The back is hinged and seems to have a 'spring' to it to help it stay open and also to hold the moveable mirror against the side of the compact.
